Over the past three decades, the firm has continually expanded its capabilities, evolving into a multidisciplinary firm offering comprehensive solutions in engineering, architecture, inspections, and project management. In the last three years, the integration of architecture services has further strengthened the firm's ability to provide turnkey design, permitting, and inspection solutions under one roof.
The addition of Architect Glorimar Irizarry Delgado as Operations Director and Architect Michael D. Molinsky as Project Development Manager has significantly enhanced the company’s design and planning capabilities. Their extensive experience in Industrial, Commercial, and Residential projects in San Francisco—where they worked for nearly six years—has contributed to the firm’s growth, diversification, and ability to handle complex, large-scale projects.

Today, F. F. Irizarry & Associates, PSC was founded on December 1, 1994, by Engineer Freddie Irizarry Santos, a young Licensed Professional Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. At the time, Engineer Irizarry held a Plant Manager position at Texaco Industries, a Lube Blending and Packaging Facility, but his passion for Engineering Consulting, Design, and Inspections led him to establish his own firm.
Shortly after its founding, Puerto Rico faced a historic gas explosion in San Juan, which revealed the urgent need for improved gas infrastructure and safety assessments across the island. With his technical expertise, thirst for knowledge, and problem-solving skills, Engineer Irizarry quickly became a recognized expert in gas infrastructure and installation design. This milestone set the foundation for the firm’s growth and reputation in the engineering and inspection industry.
With his mechanical engineering background and extensive experience working with major private and public utility companies in Puerto Rico, Engineer Irizarry developed a strong interest in addressing the national energy crisis. His research and technical innovation led him to become a leading authority in Cogeneration and Microgrid Development, focusing on power generation, energy conservation, and energy recovery solutions. His expertise in these fields has positioned F. Irizarry & Associates, PSC as a trusted leader in sustainable and energy-efficient infrastructure solutions.
